This text of micro managers does exactly describe the behaviour of my last three bosses.
Because I was a rebel in their eyes they all kicked me out of the company.
I was a manager myself (operations supervisor, shift chief and teamleader)
Nowaday's I'm unemployed because micromanagers become cruel when they become problems at the shopfloor due their own behaivior and "political" games.
Micromanagers harm the company for which they work.
Company owners WAKE UP and get rid of the MICROMANAGERS!!

I read the mag, Gulf Coast Computing.belong to computer group.
You said something on your web site that is controveral. I was advised not to put a fire wall on a home PC. you on the other hand said load it. whats your reasoning for having fire wall protection?

I have been getting all sorts of get rich quick schemes and offers so ridiculous that it's hard to believe that anyone falls for them. I'm a trauma victim of annoying pop-up ads, and recently fried an automatically installed spyware thing called Xupiter on my system. Is there any free way to kill pop-ups (I'd like to kill the person who invented pop-ups, but those are best kept in my dreams, thoughts, and screams of anger). Hear my cry, see my sos, see the smoke signals for christ sakes, pop-ups must die. But I don't have the extra spending money to pay for a program to stop them. Is there any freeware anti pop-up? thanks.

I love this site very well done.
You have put the most important information about the internet in a few pages. I consider my self experiens in most issues that you have writen in this page.
