Excellent! You have most certainly gone the extra mile in developing your web site. I am in the process of writing a series of books for children. I would be interested in the book your wife has written as I too have survived a life of the dreaded "Asthma" reluctantly passed on to my children and now my grandson. I personally think "positivity" is a key ingredient but not the case with everyone. My daughter has enrolled my grandson in sports to strengthen his lungs and he is doing extremelly well. At the age of eight(8) he doesn't give his asthma a second thought except when he develops a chest cold and then we all feel for him. Asthma is one of many misunderstood physical ailments. My eldest daughter (an A+ student) was chastised throughout her school years. A school nurse went as-far-as to tell her it was just a nervous condition, hmmmmmmmmmmm. Certainly makes one wonder. Anyway, again I reiterate, "EXCELLENT SITE"!

Great website - really informative. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and fellow web-design trainees.
However you may be interested in an update on the status of Fortune City as a free webspace provider. I put a site up there two years ago which I began re-vamping earlier this year using their Advanced Editor feature.
Because of their recent "upgrade" I can now no longer access my files. My login directs me to a new URL where I can use their Basic filebuilder to start again. No Advanced Editor, no files. No messageboards, no support.
This would be fine if they had taken down the old site - but unfortunately it is still up there and ranking high in all the search engines complete with all its out-of-date information.
Meanwhile I have built a new site from scratch which is hosted by Freeservers (now there's another can of worms but at least I can still access it), but since the search engines are taking forever to update these days anyone looking up the subject of my site gets taken to the old one.
On one of the rare occasions when I have managed to log in recently I managed to put up a re-direct page at the new URL they provided, but that isn't showing up on the search engines either.
I found you while I was searching to see if other people had experienced anything similar. The only ones who had all seemed to have been posting to a Fortune City messageboard which has now been taken down.
Another search result, suggesting that "Fortune City is Dead", turned up a Page Unavailable error.
I just thought that since you are singing the praises of Fortune City, things ain't what they used to be.

"Just surfed in..." :) don't you hate that???
Anyway, I just read your 'tip' on bandwidth theft and thought I would add the following thought. If someone is stealing our bandwidth/using our graphics, experience has shown that changing the name doesn't do sh!t. What does work is 'slicing' the image to pieces. We use Paint Shop Pro to do this and it's a V simple process (File/Export/Image Slicer). If you want to see an example, go to
www.Lenon.com/civic/index.htm
(Honda CiViC page, under initial construction) and view the source code.
Many times, ppl steal images to use on message boards. This is made possible by the use of the [IMG] tag in many 'BBS' programs. However, few web boards allow true HTML tags as it messes up their formatting. So, 'image slicing' makes more sense 99.9% of the time. You can (re)assemble the slices on your web page, but most common thieves cannot.
You have a nice site, BTW. Lates!!!

I recently began taking an online web authoring class through our local community college. As I was searching for graphics to include I found your site and signed up for your newsletter. It's already helped me tremendously and also vindicated some of the things I had previously thought about how a website should look. Thanks for all your help. I've been designing a webpage for my church and so far they love what I've done. Hopefully we'll get it on the web soon. =) Someone told me the hardest part about a website was keeping it current, but I think I've decided that's it getting everyone's input together who thinks they should have a say.
Sincerely, Kelley
